Kronos Quartet’s ongoing relationship with the Clarice Smith Center includes working closely with composition students in the UMD School of Music.
For the fourth consecutive year, Kronos Quartet will partner with School of Music composition students to write new works for string quartet, mentoring the students through the composition process. Kronos will perform the completed compositions in a free public performance.
This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. This performance is also made possible in part by support from The MARPAT Foundation.
